The Maiano estate is an actual and totally biological farmhouse with a surface which counts nearly 300 hectares, the most part employed in cultivating olives (20.000 olive trees on 110 hectares).
The “Frantoio” quality olives and the “Moraiolo” quality olives are exclusively hand picked in months of November and December and are pressed within few hours directly in the mill of the farmhouse, to avoid the spoiling of the olives.
The final and par excellence product is the Laudemio oil, an extra virgin olive oil with a peculiar personality and a fresh fruity smell. Guided tours to the olive mill are organised throughout the year and especially in the months of the pressing, to illustrate every step of the making of the final product. The tours are subject to booking.
