The Cloister

 

The arch and the wooden door open on the cloister, a part of the ancient convent where nuns lived their cloistered life. Here you can still see Madonna della Misericordia, a fresco by Spinello Aretino.

 

Next to the cloister you will find some of the holiday apartments, Sala del Convitto, the former convent refectory and Sala Olivaia, an ancient olive storage room.

 

The two halls and the cloister are now setting for business meetings, parties, anniversaries, food and olive oil tastings. They are also the stage “Stagioni in Fattoria” – Fattoria di Maiano music and theater festival.
